As the building is a protected heritage site, any work required great caution. Installation was a major challenge, meaning the lighting had to be entirely non-invasive.

About a project
Maškovića Han holds exceptional historical and cultural value. Since 2017 it has operated as a four-star heritage hotel. The complex includes shops offering authentic local items and a large inner courtyard. The lighting project involved bespoke lighting fixtures with rich Oriental motifs, developed in close cooperation with conservation experts and fully adapted to the distinctive Ottoman architecture.

What we did
As the building is a protected heritage site, any work required great caution. Installation was a major challenge, meaning the lighting had to be entirely non-invasive.
Lighting fixtures were custom-made. The process included engraving metal surfaces with traditional Oriental ornaments and illuminating them precisely to highlight the design and create a historic atmosphere.
Instead of standard technical solutions, the focus was on understanding the space and creating a pleasant atmosphere that does not disturb the authentic appearance and ambience of the Han.
